Fahey's was started in the 1890's by Patrick Fahey who left his home in Ireland and travelled to Chicago, to train wild horses from the prairie in preparation for work on local and long distance transport and travel. He settled in Manchester in the 1950's and grew his own business from a single hand-cart to a fleet of over 25 vans and vehicles, now managed by his great-great grandchildren.

We pride ourselves on providing a top-quality service with every move, putting our 65+ years of experience to good use. We know moving is one of life's most stressful experiences, and we aim to make it as easy as possible for our customers.

If you can, declutter before your move. so you're not paying to move unnecessary items. We recommend going room by room and sorting items into keep, donate, sell, or bin categories. You’ll end up with fewer boxes to move and feel more ready for a fresh start in your new home. We also partner with charities in Greater Manchester to donate furniture, or can add on a tip run service if you require.
