Good price. Friendly guys and efficient

We were expecting 3 men, but only two completed the moving. The service was ok My only observation is that the service is paid by hour and the men were moving the stuff very slow. We ended paying much more.

Moved my family from London to Scotland - a two bed flat which filled a Luton Van. Multiple heavy items and awkward loading and unloading. I was quoted by around 6 firms. Did video surveys with 4 and then settled on BestRate as they seemed the most straightforward and cheapest. The movers couldn't have been nicer people and moved our things carefully into the Van on Thursday, same people drove to Scotland on Friday and arrived ready to meet us there. Everything along the way was stress free as possible and I couldn't recommend this company enough. I was quoted twice the price from other firms and was happy that we found BestRate. Seriously recommended if you are moving home.

arrived on time. Straightforward, helpful team. clearly very experienced. Took almost 12 hrs as we had a lot of stuff.... Was half the price of some other companies that quoted and no difference in quality!

Great service from initial contact to actual move. Had several quotes and Best Rate Removals were very competitive and included services such as dismantling furniture that others charged extra for. The surveyor was very friendly, knowledgeable and gave lots of info. Was moving from London to Midlands. The guys moving house contents were very professional took great care of everything and made sure it was all put in the correct rooms at other end. Would recommend without hesitation.

The team arrived on time and were perfectly pleasant. The company's hourly rate is very competitive, however the team were very very slow. I had booked a 3 man service with packing to move me from a 2 bed flat to a house under 1 mile away. It took the company 6 hours even though I had done virtually all the packing myself. (The company that had moved me in to the flat originally had delivered a full packing and unpacking service in 3 hours). As a result the cost was double what I had budgeted. They also lost two items along the way including my work mobile phone which was on one of the two bookshelves I hadn't packed. They also damaged a desk while trying to carry it upstairs. A skilled professional service would have been able to tell whether the desk would go upstairs or not. The service was equivalent to hiring a van and getting three friends to help. My mistake was to focus too much on the hourly rate. Other firms may have a higher rate but finish in half the time.
