“Would not recommend”
Lots of damaged items ( which im still finding) Some breakages too. Received some money towards the breakages. Removal men were polite

“The job was done quickly”
The van and man arrived on time as booked and as I only need to remove 2 appliances so the job was done quickly.
“Shambles”
AnyVan refused to identify the mover before I accepted a quote, assuring me its companies were well vetted. It assigned the Admiral Jojo moving company (Birmingham), who arrived 10 hours late. I booked professional packing, but the movers admitted they had never packed professionally. I had to demonstrate how to use bubble wrap and the tape dispenser; packing materials were left unused. They also turned up a day before the agreed delivery date, when I was absent. Ten items arrived scratched or broken, and my concerns were met with attitude. The claims process added insult to injury: staff disputed whether damaged items appeared on their poorly compiled inventory and denied I had booked packing, despite my texts and emails. They also asserted a £40-per-item limit, although AnyVan had told me I had insurance cover up to £50,000. AnyVan's reassurances gave me confidence to book, but the service and handling of my claim were deeply disappointing. I would not use either company again.

“Moved”
it was lovely.had a few stops before me driver was helpful b
“a lot of work”
not having moved for 37years I found to it difficult to anticipate the amount of boxes needed to obtain an accurate quote. All boxes whether they were called large were all different sizes so it was stressful. the chaps sent thought it was only a small house but were surprised at the amount of objects I have. they worked hard, but still have to travel back a 4 hr journey on the 2 trips they had already made so they were not as local as I would have thought.
“Avoid!”
Awful. 0800 - 1300 collection window. Came at 1500. Expected same day delivery, not delivered until 1200 next day. Only one item missing! Terrible service! Not recommended!

The men were friendly and polite. He van was too small for my things. They couldn’t dismantle my bed so it had to be broken to get it out of the house. So I don’t have a bed! They couldn’t get all my things in the van so some things were left at my sold house. The some electrics for my reclining sofas are missing!!!

“Good but no ride-along!”
Booking and price estimation was reasonably easy to do and communication was good up until the day. What was not communicated is that you can't ride along in the van too so I had to scramble to get a train to the location and basically race the van once it had picked up my things!

How did you start your business?
AnyVan started in 2009 when founder Angus discovered that 50% of vans on the road were travelling half empty.
