“Moving with AnyVan”
I made the mistake on my part that when I booked the move, I forgot to distinguish what was upstairs and what was downstairs which in turn changed the price. It might be helpful to make the inventory booking system a bit clearer as our wardrobe was not able to be moved upstairs on a last minute basis. However the movers who helped us were really helpful despite the mix up.

I was disappointed a manager to look after the move, but when I decided to use the company I kept phoning him and I could never get through to him. We did the move immediately. It was okay packing up but then we found when we were delivered to our property. They just turned around and left leaving us to have all the unpacking done ourselves. We were told that we wouldn't be have to lift the finger but that never happened. It took two days to unpack all their boxes wrapped up in paper and a lot of the stuff they put facial cosmetics letting them leak into laundry with Close and things. I would not recommend this company again I complained and I did get some compensation but it wasn't enough.

“Use of contractors lets them down”
I paid to move 5 pieces of furniture and a few boxes a 7 minute drive across town. On my own mistake, I incorrectly entered ground floor to ground floor. I was contacted by the driver and asked to pay an additional £120 in cash. I contacted AnyVan, who advised me not to provide the driver with cash and instead to go through them. The driver then told me that he did not work for AnyVan and was instead contracted through them, and often didn’t see any additional money as a result. From his phone he made a call - an automated call then came through to me informing I owed £137 additionally. I then rang AnyVan. After being on hold for 20+ minutes (while the two drivers were bringing things in and building the beds) I finally got through to AnyVan, who charged me £116 extra. While I acknowledge I made the mistake in the booking, the whole experience became very stressful and frankly unprofessional. I wouldn’t ever book with this company again.

How did you start your business?
AnyVan started in 2009 when founder Angus discovered that 50% of vans on the road were travelling half empty. He realised that filling those empty vans would create cheaper delivery costs and be better for the environment.
