No problems in loading up and kept everything in order, very polite men who came , would use them again ,as they knew what they were doing professionally .
“Untold Customs Charges”
Customer service was good but they used DPD for moving my personal luggage from uk to Germany and dpd forced me to pay customs on my used goods which was almost €150. They could not even help me with this customs issues. They should aware of these kind of customs charges and inform the customer before declaring the value of the shipments..DPD people handled my shipment in a bad way almost all my boxex are damaged.

Dear Jaya, thank you for your review. I’m sure you advised that your goods had been delivered with no issues? Please send Kevin photos of any damages when the goods arrived? I’m sure you took insurance cover but we have not heard from you? regarding customs charges, this is dependent on the value that you choose to declare to customs. Used household effects are normally duty free so i expect you declared a high value for insurance purposes. German customs are particularly difficult and strict regarding these declarations, but i am sure you would have researched some of these details prior to moving to Germany. I will ask Kevin to contact you regarding your claims on here.

How did you start your business?
The business was started in 1959 by the current owner's Father, Mr Robert Bell Steel. The current owner James Steel took over the reigns in 2003 and has driven the company forward into a specialised Overseas Mover, with Global reach.
What makes your services standout?
We are a unique business in that we are still family owned, yet operate 2 x locations in Helensburgh, Argyll and Old Kilpatrick, Glasgow. We operate local, national and international services with our own crews and vehicles, as well as partner service too. We also operate fantastic Self Storage facilities and Shipping Container storage. We operate a weekly service to and from Rotterdam, Netherlands for our European and Worldwide Shipping Service.
What is your top advice for your customers?
Try to be as accurate with your inventory list as possible. This gives the Moving Company more information and therefore an accurate quotation with no hidden surprises should be feasible. Most complaints arise when the client hasn't provided all the information to the mover about timings, keys to new home, access for large trucks and other things that can be forgotten with the stress of moving home! Also if you have more time to move out then consider using storage, if only for a few days.
