Weald Removals and Storage

We had three great guys who moved us from T/Wells to Tonbridge really helped us out especially at the other end. Thank you guys!

Despite reservations Weald Removals were perfect and actually made a very stressful day fun. Two Luton vans turned up to move our large 4 bedroom house and were packed with our boxes very professionally, care was taken of fragile items and we had zero breakages. All this on first day of 'Lockdown the Sequel' I've only scored 3 stars for customer service as I couldn't contact them for a whole day by phone which did nothing for my stress levels! If you want a no frills removal company without the big sign written van then these hard working guys could be for you.

Damaged so many items. Turned up late & did not leave till after 3pm. Vehicles shockingly old & ropey. Now saying no insurance. Zero Uniforms / PPE. Despicable communication with dozens of unanswered emails & calls. Very disappointing & stressful -a company to be avoided at all costs; do not pay up front!!!

Helpful, easy to contact, and did everything on time and cheerfully. Couldn't have been better.

Friendly service. Very efficient. Very helpful with taking apart certain items such as beds and sofas. All done in a timely manner with no fuss. Would definitely use them again.

Having exchanged contracts before lockdown we were in breach of contract when our booked removal was stopped by our removers. Weald removers kept all appointments punctually, gave a lower quote which they kept to, coped with problems such as our having no landline or broadband due to the service being transferred to our new address on the completion date, loaded 2 vans in 3 hours without losses or breakages, and we are so grateful for a 350 mile move done better than we hoped for in circumstances that some people thought impossible.

Luke and his crew were professional,courteous and efficient. I couldn’t have asked for a better removal company to complete my move.

They arranged to pick up my furniture at 9.30am (their latest) and I paid beforehand (stupidly!). Approximately 3 hours later (after being sure I’d been conned), a driver said he’d be with me in an hour and a half. I had tried to contact the company when they were 30 mins late but to no avail - emailing and all website phone numbers. The driver and his mate were excellent when they arrived. Very skilled at taking care and packing my furniture. I arranged to meet them at the storage unit and was assured they knew where it was (had given full address). I arrived at unit and waited and waited. Two phone calls later, and some time later, due to them getting lost twice, they arrived. When there, the two were yet again very skilled and courteous. Overall, the service was abismal and impacted on the horrendous stresses of moving. I have since emailed the company to ask for some money back in compensation but so far, my correspondence has been ignored!

Luke Petty tried very hard to accommodate our move, which kept being put back because of legal wrangling. Once we exchanged, he sent round packers the following day. We made the move of over 200 miles more or less on schedule, but the experience was marred by several circumstances. First, the removers had to wait on site because the keys to the property were unavailable. Only I could sort the key situation out and, as it happened, I arrived last, after dark. So that was half an afternoon written off. Next morning, both their lorries had problems en route from overnight parking. One blew a tyre, the other was involved in a collision. Both required breakdown services, wasting more time. I should mention that Luke and his team were battling heroically with adverse circumstances. A couple of weeks ago, a disgruntled employee had written off Weald's entire fleet in an arson attack. The vehicles used were borrowed and unfamiliar. It was a credit to them that they managed the move at all.
