I chose Riight Moves based on them being local to me and being a family business. They were the only company who came to my house in person to provide a quote. On the day, I was told that the owner was 'unable to get into my garage properly to see what needed to be included'. This was not mentioned at the time of quoting, or at the time of assessing. Our goods didn't fit into the 2 trucks quoted for, and we had to pay an additional £550. We had absolutely no choice but to pay as our move was halfway through. In addition, we had already moved a LOT of stuff ourselves (as we are making an unplanned stop while we wait for our house to be ready and needed certain things to be kept out of storage). All of these things should have been included in initial estimates and should have been moved by Riight Moves, which further shows under-estimation. They took NO responsibility at all, despite me pointing out all these facts, and made out as if I had done something wrong. I would not recommend.

Just don't. You will receive a quote that seems reasonable, even slightly below what other quotes are. Stop yourself. I received other quotes in addition to this one. They gave me a quote of £750 + £10/box packing. Based on my other quote of 40 boxes, this put the total amount about £150-£100 less. Final bill was £2550 including the 95 (!) tiny boxes they packed. Essentially, one of the brothers who own the business (Sat) said there are a few things not in the pictures some steps coming into the building he didn't know about and there may be an extra charge. I asked if he can tell me how much it will cost and he said, he will inventory it and the office needs to provide the quote. They finished all the packing (at this point they knew what contents we had) and continued to push for the quote - he indicated it wouldn't be that much. As they loaded the truck he said I need to pay the new amount or they won't move the items. He waited until the time where it was impossible to back out.

Please do not use this service if you need help with assembling/ disassembling- this is part of their packing and not clearly communicated. I had to delay the move for couple of hours and even though I called in advance to arrange- they dismissed me and charged me additional 130£ for waiting!! broke my bed and bathroom furniture. At the end made me transfer money to private account and no invoice for the service- I had a terrible experience- please be aware!

Came round to my house quoted a price when asked what for was told a 5 tonne van . Turned up In what appeared to be a 3.5 tonne when questioned got very defensive I had to leave to get to destination before them recieved a call to say they needed a second van due to not having enough space as it was over 2 drops claims they didn’t know that then claimed they sent out further emails which I never received said they deleted them due to “data protection” said unless another £1970 was paid my belongings wouldn’t be moving at all once paid did some research and these guys are complete conmen this is the 5/6th company they have set up ripping off and blackmailing numerous people the director satmeal singh has been to jail for benefit fraud and obviously didn’t learn a lesson and just keeps getting away with it they then took 6+ hours to do a journey that took us 2 1/2 hours the following day when contacted and asked where they were it was “ we’re coming” several items was damaged utter scum!

I was not happy with this company. A price was agreed over the phone and in person they wanted to change the price and make it higher. I had moved the majority of my possessions myself. They only needed to move the heavy items which they did but they didn’t wait fir me to show them where things should go. I told them my bedroom was small do I would have to move the bags and suit cases out in order fir them to put the wardrobes and chest of drawers in the right place for me but instead they just offloaded everything anywhere and I had to sort it out myself. I had to get the rest of their money for them so I told them to wait. They wanted to charge me waiting time which was not mentioned in the conversation over the phone before I decided to use the company. There were three movers and there didn’t need to be three people. By the time they went to collect the third person all the heavier items were already loaded onto the van. If I move again I will not be using this company again.
