Fast and efficient

The team were efficient, but not always terribly careful. Although I had carefully labelled each item with the room it was destined for, they still kept asking me where I wanted the items to go. Entry to the new house was delayed due to a banking problem on that day, causing the money not to be transferred promptly. This resulted in me having to pay extra for the waiting time of the team outside my new home before they could begin unloading, which I was not too pleased about, as it was entirely outside of my control.

Great service and time keeping

Both the packing up and the physical removal went smoothly. Both teams were excellent.

Good value for money, very fast, a very insignificant damage to a plant pot and 1 item was left behind. Excellent for dismantling and reassembling furniture, good time keeping.

There calculations were wrong for the size of the contents ant they were happy to leave us to sort out the extra transport. They Couldn’t be bothered with unloading at the other end so we ended up move furniture upstairs ourselves.

We were moving a short distance of about 5 miles. Cornerstone conducted a video survey after which, I accepted the quotation. For the move, we would need a small van with 2 people, who would do multiple trips. We also paid extra for a packing service and packaging materials. When the packers arrived did not have enough packing materials and had to go and buy extra. Things were just thrown in boxes and others not packed at all. The next day, the moving team arrived. They were a subcontract firm who were actually quite good. They brought a bigger van and three people. However, it turns out when Cornerstone say multiple trips they mean 2. We were not able to complete our move in two trips despite a bigger van and more people. Halfway through the move we were told we would have to pay £300 for an additional trip and I had to move the unpacked things myself in my car. I believe I was scammed as the implication was if I did not pay the extra £300 we would be abandoned mid-move.
